This play is a take on the classic Homer's Odyssey but focuses on refugees, and she is a representation of the goddess Leukothea from the book. I draped, patterned, and constructed the character Naja's gown. the underbodice is made of thick cotton, and the overbodice and skirt is patchwork denim constructed out of jeans. This dress took about 40 total hours to create, the most time-consuming portion being creating the patchworking (and breaking thirty needles in the process, of course).
