Anon(ymous)

This play is a take on the classic Homer's Odyssey but focuses on refugees that the lead character Anon meets on his journey. The character Naja is a representation of the sea goddess Leukothea, protector of sailors, from Homer's story. I draped, patterned, and constructed the character Naja's gown. the underbodice is made of thick cotton, and the overbodice and skirt is patchwork denim constructed out of jeans, topstitched to the same cotton. This dress took about 40 total hours to create, the most time-consuming portion being creating the patchwork (and breaking about thirty needles in the process, of course).
